#TravelDay389 – Kayaking in Queenstown

We are down to our last few days in Queenstown so we ticked another thing off the list by hiring some kayaks to paddle around and get a different view of our home town.

This morning we sold our car. We only have a few days left in Queenstown before we head to the North Island for a couple of days and then fly back to the UK. We have known that we are going back to the UK for quite a while, but selling our car really brought that realisation to us and I couldn’t help but feel a little bit down about it.

That car had taken us on some incredible adventures and those adventures had been some of the happiest times of my life. I handed the keys over with mixed emotions.

I needed a distraction for the afternoon, I didn’t want to dwell on, or over think our decision to return to the UK. I just wanted to make the most of our last few days.

We had been kayaking in Wanaka recently and had really enjoyed it, so we decided to do the same in Queenstown and hire kayaks from the lakefront that we had walked past everyday for the last year…
